Details

Day 01
Delhi – Leh
  • Arrival Leh.
  • Upon arrival in Leh met by our representative & transfer to the hotel.
  • Visit Shanti Stupa at Changsha village in Leh and later short walk in Leh main bazaar area.
  • Overnight in the hotel.
Day 02
Leh
  • Buffet breakfast in the hotel.
  • Morning proceed sightseeing for Sangam point, Namgyal Monestry, Shey Monestry, Diskit Monestry & Donkey Sanctuary.
  • Evening day at leisure.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03
Leh
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
  • Proceed for half day city tour of Leh, includes visit to Shanti stupa – a white pagoda atop a low lying hill in changspa village of Leh which was built by the Japanese Buddhist Missionaries to promote work peace.
  • Later we drive to Samkar monastery in Samkar village. Enroute we take a short walk to visit the rock cut Buddha statues near Gomang Chorten. This shall be followed by visit to Tsemo Castle and 16th c. built Leh Palace, the seat of the Namgyal rulers of Ladakh.
  • After noon free at day at leisure.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04
Leh – Dhomkar - Baima
  • Buffet Breakfast in the hotel.
  • Today drive from Leh to Baima (Approx 3-4 hours / 145 Kms).
  • Enroute visit Dhomkar & procced to visit 2000 years old Arts & Rock Paintings.
  • Upon arrival in Baima proceed to check in at the hotel.
  • Evening explore to Aryan Village – An ancient Aryan Race.
  • Overnight in the hotel.
Day 05
Baima – Lamayuru – Ridzong - Alchi
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today drive from Baima – Alchi (Approx 3 hours / 120 Kms).
  • Enroute visit Lamayuru and Ridzong monasteries.
  • Overnight in the hotel.
Day 06
Alchi
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
  • Morning visit the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh- a UNESCO listed heritage site known for its fabulous Mangyu paintings.
  • Overnight in the hotel.
Day 07
Alchi – Leh
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today drive from Alchi - Leh (Approx 2-3 hours / 80 Kms)
  • Upon arrival in Leh proceed to check in at the hotel.
  • Afternoon visit the Saspol caves, Walking tour & Basgo Castle.
  • Overnight in the hotel.
Day 08
Leh – Nubra Valley
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
  • Morning drive to Nubra Valley 125km crossing Khardongla Pass 18360 ft, the world highest motorable pass. Enroute we stop for permit check at South Pulu police checkpost 20 kms from Leh. On reaching the pass members can take a very short 5 min stop at the pass. After crossing the pass members can take a short lunch stop at Khardong or koksar village.
  • Arrival in Nubra valley we shall visit Diskit Monastery along with the 110ft tall Maitreya Buddha statue.
  • After sightseeing of Dishit Monestry drive furthe and checkin at the hotel.
  • Later in the evening we shall visit the silvery sand dunes at Hunder where perhaps a Double humped Camel Safari (on direct payment) cud be interesting.
  • Overnight in the Tented Camp.
Day 09
Nubra
  • Buffet breakfast at hotel.
  • Day excursion to Panamic Hot spring, Samstanling monastery and Sumur.
  • Back to hotel.
  • Overnight in the Tented Camp.
Day 10
Nubra Valley - Leh
  • Buffet breakfast at hotel.
  • Morning after leisure breakfast we drive back to Leh. Enroute stop for photo on the snow slopes along the route, Guest can stop for tea at North pulu police checkpost before climbing the Khardongla pass again. On reaching the pass we can stop for some tike again for last pictures.
  • Arrive Leh by later afternoon and drop at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11
Leh – Tsomoriri Lake
  • Buffet breakfast at hotel.
  • Morning drive from Leh – Tsomoriri (Approx 220 kms -6-7hrs).
  • Enroute visit Upshi.
  • Visit the beauty of Tsomoriri Lake.
  • Overnight in the hotel.
Day 12
Tsomoriri Lake – Tsokar Lake
  • Buffet breakfast at hotel.
  • Morning drive from Tsomoriri to Tsokar Lake (145 Kms/06-07 hrs).
  • Afternoon visit the beauty of Tsokar Lake.
  • Overnight in thd hotel.
Day 13
Tsokar- Jispa
  • Buffet breakfast at hotel.
  • Morning drive from Tsokar Lake to Jispa (225 Kms/06-07 Kms).
  • Upon arrival in Jispa proceed to check in at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14
Jispa – Manali
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
  • Morning drive from Jispa to Leh (155Kms/05-06 hours).
  • Enroute visit Keyling awhich is the main headquarters of Lahul – Spiti district of Upper Himachal region and Rohtang-la pass on the way we shall stop for tea at Koksar check point which is just after crossing Chandra-Bagha river.
  • Stop for photo on the top of the pass, crossing the pass will take us into the Solang – Manali valley which is again an important tourist hub of Himachal. Crossing Marhi and driving down Beas river we arrive at Manali town by late in the afternoon.
  • Arrive Manali and check in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight in the hotel.

Major Attractions Of Leh

Leh Market

The artifacts and souvenirs are often displayed on the road-side stalls and it is the best market to get Tibetan handicraft items like Pashmeena wool dresses, Prayer wheels, Traditional Ladakhi jewellery which are genuine.

Leh Palace

The ancient Leh Palace which is just 5 km away from the Leh is under the control of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) and offers a panoramic view of the Stok Kangri and Zanskar ranges across the Indus Valley.

Shanti Stupa

The highest white beautiful stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district is the best place to admire the beauty of Himalayas. It was built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace. Don’t forget to do a little meditation besides the Stupa which might help you get what you came here for. The nighttime view is even better.

Sangam Point

One of the most famous spots in Leh which is the meeting point of the Indus and Zanskar is known as the Sangam Point. It is an amazing sight for the onlookers as the water of the Indus River is very warm and the Zanskar is frozen.

Hemis Monastery

The Hemis Monastery is visible during a Leh Ladakh road trip. The distance between Hemis and Leh is 40kms and easily accessible by any vehicle. Interior decorated by numerous gold statues and stupas enhanced by the precious yet rare stones is worth visiting.

Drass Valley

Drass Valley gives you an exhilarating experience and is the must visit place. It offers amazing sights where you can’t click a bad pic.

Baima

In Biama , the villages of Dah and Hanu are amongst the only few villages that are home to the Drogpa tribe. The tribe, which is different from the Ladakhi tribe found in the rest of the area are quite hospitable people. The Drogpa are culturally, racially and linguistically different from the rest and are said to be the only living descendants of the original Aryan (Indo European) race.

These villages are a must visit for those who are interested in cultural persity. The Drogpa tribes are known for their distinct ornaments and head gears. The villages have been visited by countless photographers who absolutely enjoy clicking photographs of the people of this tribe.

Alchi

One of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, Alchi Monastery includes three major shrines that are important to Buddhism- the Dukhang, the Sumtsek and the Temple of Manjushri. Wooden artifacts are an important part of the monastery decor. Currently, it is under the Archaeological survey of India.

Nubra Valley

Nubra valley is a place that cannot be missed if you are travelling to Ladakh in the summer as it is rich in sightseeing opportunities. Trekking, camping and camel safaris at Hunder, ATV Ride at Khalsar, Zimskhang Palace, Ensa  Gompa and Yarab Tso Lake are major attractions. The sand dunes of the Nubra Valley give you Arabian Nights like experience.

Jispa
